- Supercell is introducing Hero Progression system in Clash of Clans June 2026 update.

Supercell has officially revealed the sneak peeks for the Clash of Clans June 2026 update. It is bringing a major progression overhaul to how heroes are upgraded, the brand new Hero Journey system, alongside fresh levels for some heroes, quality-of-life improvements, and Clan Capital updates.
Everything that is coming with the Clash of Clans June 2026 update
1. A brand new progression system for Heroes
This has been discussed in the community for a long time that the hero grind is painful and not very rewarding. To tackle that issue, it looks like Supercell is introducing this major feature in Clash of Clans, called Hero Journey.
Unlockable from Town Hall 7 via the Hero Hall, this system tracks cumulative Hero levels across all Heroes, rewarding you for every upgrade point earned. For every hero level you upgrade, you will earn one point in this Hero Journey. And as you progress you’ll unlock exclusive rewards:
- Epic Equipment (with fallback Starry Ore x50 if already owned)
- Exclusive Ascended Hero Skins
- Elixir and Dark Elixir
- Magic Items and Snacks (Books, Potions, Runes, and more)
- Ores (Shiny, Glowy, and Starry)
- Hero & Equipment Quests
You’ll also be receiving quests on the Hero Journey, and it will reward chests! One more important thing is that Supercell has implemented a catch-up mechanic, where returning or under-progressed players receive increased ore rewards to help them stay competitive.
For someone like me, who is nearing maxed hero levels, you’ll be automatically placed on the Hero Journey track based on your current cumulative Hero levels. This will grant all the previous rewards in the journey. However, you will only have 7 days maximum to claim all the rewards.
The best part is that for every maxed hero, we will be receiving a mastery skin!
2. New Hero levels
This new update is also introducing new levels for certain heroes. Barbarian King, Archer Queen, and Grand Warden are receiving +5 levels each. Honestly, while I feel this is necessary, the hero grind seems like a never-ending journey.
3. New troop – Ruin Witch
The Ruin Witch joins the game on Town Hall 16. Ruin Witch is generally different from our usual troops as she summons Ruin Knight based on the destroyed buildings. When all the destroyed buildings are cleaned up, she will stand still. For now, the Ruin Witch is upgradable up to level 4.
4. New spell – Angry Spell
A brand new spell called Angry spell is also coming to Clash of Clans with the June 2026 update. It comes with a 6 tile radius. When the troops come in contact with this spell, they start targeting the nearby defenses. That’s what this spell does! With upgrades, the spell suration increases on the battlefield.
5. Clan Capital Treasury and new features
What to do with the excess Capital Gold is a major problem when the Clan Capital is maxed. I see my clanmates going out to drop it to a lower-level clan so that they get the experience points. But with this new coc summer update or the June 2026 update, it will not be a problem anymore.
The Clan Capital Treasury can hold the excess Capital Gold that you earn. Its a shared pool for the whole clan, and for donating there, you will receive Capital Reputation. This treasury will hold the gold and will deploy it when we get new upgrade levels for Clan Capital.
This new update solves another major issue for clans, that is, the raiders joining the clan just for raids and leaving right after they are done. These players can no longer join Raid Weekends mid-way unless they:
- Have already attacked
- Hold Elder or higher rank
- Joined before Raid Weekend began
- Are in open clans (not invite-only/closed)
6. New levels for buildings
The update also expands late-game progression with new levels for buildings:
- Monolith Level 5
- Builder’s Hut Level 8
- Dark Spell Factory Level 8
- Dark Barracks Level 13
- Supercharges for X-Bow and Scattershot
- Remaining Wall upgrades
7. Fast forward in live battles
Finally, this highly requested feature is coming to Clash of Clans with the June 2026 update! After 120 seconds in an attack, you can speed up gameplay to 4x speed. So its either 1x or 4x, nothing in between.
This feature will be available across select battle modes, including Home Village, Builder Base, and Clan Capital.
Clash of Clans June 2026 update is shaping up to be one of the most impactful progression updates in Clash of Clans history after last year’s Clash Anytime update. With Hero Journey redefining how players are rewarded for upgrades and multiple systems improving pacing, accessibility, and endgame engagement, Supercell is clearly focusing on both retention and player satisfaction.
When is the update coming
Based on Supercell’s historical update launch schedule, we can expect the update to arrive on June 15, 2025.
