Tales of the Lost bids farewell on July 31, 2026, ending its nine-year journey

  • Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales is the first mobile game based on the Bungo Stray Dogs anime.
  • Developers have confirmed there will be no refunds.

Ambition Co. Ltd. has announced that its beloved puzzle RPG, Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost, also known as Bungo Stray Dogs: TotL, will shutdown on July 31, 2026. Released in Japan in 2017 and globally the very next year, the first-ever mobile game based on the hit anime series Bungo Stray Dogs is now preparing to end services across both servers simultaneously.

Bungo Stray Dogs: TotL is ending after nearly nine years of memorable experiences

As a fan of the anime, it’s really sad to see Bungo Stray Dogs: TotL come to an end. The game let fans like me relive iconic moments from the anime, while also adding extra story details and new perspectives. You can launch familiar mini-characters across the battlefield, use unique abilities, build your favorite team, and explore the mysterious world of Bungo Stray Dogs.

Unfortunately, the Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost team revealed via X that the game would shutdown on July 31, 2026, due to “business circumstances resulting in the closure of Ambition Co., Ltd.” Well, it’s very rare to see an EOS announcement for a company together with the game in the gacha space, but here we are.

You have only one day to experience the game before the servers close

But perhaps the most heartbreaking part for fans of the game is that the announcement came just one day before the end of service, with many saying, “an eos announcement one day before closing is diabolical lol.” Even though many players admitted that they were surprised “the game lasted long enough”, it was still a sad moment for those who considered it their very first gacha game.

That said, the game is still available on the app stores if you want to try it one last time before the servers close tomorrow, although no refunds will be offered. Many Japanese fans have also shared their emotional farewell messages like “Thank you so much for everything over such a long time.” While a few praised the game’s beautiful character illustrations.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
