Decent midfield trio, but save your coins

Decent midfield trio, but save your coins

eFootball 2026 is set to roll out the Epic Maestro pack, featuring Yaya Touré, Thiago Alcântara, and Xabi Alonso, and this one already looks interesting even before release. Slated to arrive on Monday, the pack brings three very different midfield profiles under one theme.

All three are getting the Attack Trigger Show Time skill. With the pack yet to arrive, this is more of an early overview, but there’s already enough here to get a sense of whether this trio could be worth targeting or just another wait-and-watch situation.

Thiago Alcântara

  • Position: CMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player
  • Show Time Skill: Attack Trigger and Phenomenal Pass

Thiago as a Hole Player is not something you expect straight away. You look at his profile and think Orchestrator, because his Barcelona card was one. Instead, this version is being pushed higher up the pitch with an offensive role.

Stat-wise, though, nothing changes about what he’s good at. Ball control, tight possession, passing, all top-tier. He’s going to feel very smooth on the ball, especially after improving the dribbling meta. With Phenomenal Pass added, the AMF role is a better role.

The interesting bit is how Attack Trigger changes him. It should force more forward movement, which might actually make him more usable in attacking setups. I still don’t see him as a pure AMF, but more like an advanced CMF who keeps things ticking while occasionally joining attacks.

The only concern is whether that playstyle really fits him. You can push finishing till 80 with the right combination, but we usually have that 85 range for a solid AMF.

Xabi Alonso

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator
  • Show Time Skill: Attack Trigger and Visionary Pass

This is just another Xabi Alonso card, and that’s not a bad thing, but nothing really stands out either. You already know what you’re getting. Top-tier passing, very composed on the ball, and someone who can control the tempo from deep.

Defensively, he’s fine. Good positioning, decent tackling, but not someone who’s going to physically bully attackers. These physical numbers are not really good, but he does his job more through positioning than aggression.

Attack Trigger is there, and with good passing, this comes in handy, plus Visionary Pass for the forward collecting it. But at this point, it comes down to whether you need this type of player. If you’ve used any Xabi card before, this will feel very familiar.

Yaya Touré

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Box-to-Box
  • Show Time Skill: Attack Trigger and Fortress

This one feels a bit mixed. The stats are good, no doubt. Physicality, defending, decent pace, and he can carry the ball as well. Box-to-Box playstyle won’t change a lot, really good numbers and a really solid allrounder here.

But here’s where things change a lot. Earlier Touré cards, especially the Anchor Man one, were all about control and holding midfield. This version moves around much more. Attack Trigger is a good addition, compared to the other two, a mismatch, I feel.

Another thing I don’t know why they have added is Fortress. I don’t like this skill, honestly. Long Reach Tackle would have been so much better. This kind of takes away from that dominant DMF presence people liked.

Here’s my final cards tier list and pack rating.

Tier Players
SSS (Endgame) None
SS (Excellent) Yaya Touré, Thiago Alcântara, Xabi Alonso
S (Strong) None
A (Good) None
B (Average) None
C (Below Average) None

Pack Rating: 2 out of 5

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
